There are situations in life that needs proper decision when trials come…I know it doesn’t sound good but that’s what we live for… to decide things in our life. We all know that making a decision of choosing what we want, what we stand and what we strongly believe would affect our future and even our present life. Yes, I definitely agree that whatever we have decided is our choice, not just happen by chance.
What if, you have to decide in a situation that needs your understanding, consideration on someone asking “Please give me another chance? What would you do? Isn’t chance enough?
I have a friend of mine and actually suffering from a great turmoil in life, he was so devastated when he just found out that his long term girl friend was married to another man. He was greatly depressed. He was thinking that life was so unfair, same with the situation. He doesn’t have anything in mind but to give up his life…giving up completely that even his work was very affected. He never came to the office for good, or talk to his manager. He is completely blinded on things that were really going on. In short, he was in trouble…not just in his life but including his work.
When he actually resume from work, he tried explained everything and yet he was forgiven and serve several days of suspension from work. Maybe it’s just policy driven company. But as he told me the story, he even wanted disclosure of his life. Meaning he wants to forget everything that was happening, I told him, to forget means to give-up everything including stuff that bind them together, it actually triggers your memory of your ex-girlfriend. With that, he decided to returned back all her stuff for good. During that time he informed the office about his plans. Yes indeed, he found things what he always wanted…a proper disclosure of the situations and answers to all those questions on his head why he was left alone by her beloved girlfriend. But as he continues with his story, he was again summoned from the office after he resume from work. The manager asked a proper explanation of what really happened, and then he write an explanation letter telling the truth of what was really happening…it’s an explanation letter written by heart.
It’s a letter of request, asking a chance and a simple understanding…Yet he was denied and fired from the company…I was really surprise how these people think and comprehend what’s life is going on… My question…Is that really hard to give another chance?
If you were the manager, are you willing to give him another chance, knowing the fact that person was really suffering from the memories of the past?

Wow, thats tough. It puts the company in a tough situation too. I don't think you can blame them for letting him go. You can argue either way. Most likely if I was the boss it would honestly depend on how good a worker he was and how valuable he was to the company.
